“May
I come in?” Olivia asked.
Felix was shouting at his sister on phone.
As soon as he saw his client he cut the
call and welcomed her to take her seat.
Felix is a famous psychiatrist in his
city. He lost his parents in a car accident. Then his elder sister is
everything to him. He obeys her sister except for one thing. In spite of all
these, he started to live his life happily with his career.
With great expectation on him, Olivia is
coming for the first time to eradicate her depression.He start off the talk by asking cold questions about her.
Then he asked her whether she was happy
with her life by seeing her anxious eyes.
She opened her heart.
She said, “My parents are divorced in my childhood itself. Then I lost faith in
love and marriage. Some guys proposed to me but I hate love to core and ignored
them and focused on studies. At that time I never enjoyed my life. I didn’t
spend time with my friends or my mother. I studied day and night to fulfill my
dream. Finally, I joined my dream college.
Then
there was a guy named Jai at my college. He is my senior. I don’t know at what
moment we fall in love. I never thought I would love a guy. He became my best
friend and made me more strong and more independent. We spent a lot of time
together and shared our thoughts and secrets. A few years later he completed
his graduation. The days have been good until one day. He called and said his
parents compelled him to marry a girl in his relation and he is also ok with
that.
At
that moment, I was broken, but he made me strong enough to bear that pain. So,
I decided there would be no more stuff like this in my future. But one day I
was lost in his thoughts and cried like a baby in front of my friend. She is my
senior but more than a friend. Then she opened up the truth that Jai begged for
his parent’s permission. But they refused by saying my parent’s divorce. Now I
am totally broken. She then hugged me and upheld me till today.”
Felix listened to everything silently.
Olivia is a strong girl but tears are trying to come out of her eyes without
her permission. Then Olivia continued.
“Now
my reason for this depression is not my past. The future. My friend is
compelling me to get married. But I am having a fear that if my future hubby
made any problems by saying my past after marriage. I am not ready for another
heartbreak. What should I do now? ”
Felix cleared his tone and said, “Your problem is common for many girls. But
I saw the truth in your eyes. I felt the same pain as you did while you saying.
So you should be very clear at this moment. Without thinking about your past
make a decision whether you can survey single for life long. If the answer is
NO, then start to search for a man who will accept your past. Spend some
quality time with him to understand him. Say me Yes or No for my first
question”
She said,” Yes, I need to get married in my life. I have a question for you too.
Can you say whether you can marry a girl like me? Answer honestly by closing
your eyes and imagine yourself to live a life with a girl like me.”
This is a new experience for him. So he
agreed and did. By closing his eyes he imagined her. He was totally fine with
her. Everything seemed happy to him. He felt something different about her.
Then unknowingly he said honestly I will marry you with my whole heart.
As soon as he opened his eyes with shock,
he saw her at door. She said,” Then tell
your sister that I am ready to marry you and also say your decision to her and
inform me.”
Then his phone popped up with a Whatsapp
message from her sister. He opened and saw a happy beautiful face of Olivia’s
picture and a text from his sister. He smiled and understand everything by
seeing her last line in text. His sister texted,” This is the girl I saw for you. I know you are not interested in
marriage but once you see this girl, surely you will change your mind. She is
my junior friend. Lastly, I hope that you will say Yes to her. Say me da? Yeah,
I forgot to tell that she is also a Psychiatrist.”
He messaged his sister,”YES”.
